When I started this blog back in 2013, I was out of work and thought it was going to be easy and fun which for the most part I enjoyed writing posts, creating content. Then life got in the way I went and got a full time job in retail and that's when my social life ended (I joke) but it did take up so much of my time, but that’s life"  growing up" so they call it.

Be Fashion Conscious

Last year I had loads of unwanted clothes and a lot of them were either unsellable, or just not worth the hassle. So looking at the options available, I felt a charity shop, although it be for a good cause, (after having worked in one) I know a lot of it is bagged up and sent around in circles to and from the shops and warehouse, so I didn't feel like that was the best option.

For a while I didn't know what to do with it, until one day shopping in H&M. I noticed their Fashion Conscious collection box so I asked more about it at the till. Turns out H&M not only collect unwanted clothes, but even  unwearable clothing.

Clothes that can be worn again are sold as second hand goods worldwide. Anything else is recycled into things like dish cloths, insulation for cars or even used to produce energy. Better yet, for every kilogram H&M collects, 0.02 euros is donated to a uk charity. I definitely think the best part is, for every bag of clothes you hand in, you get a five pounds voucher off your next thirty pounds spend.

Sleek Lethal Length Mascara

First off, ignore the eyebrows I'm currently growing them out.

This is my first buy of sleek product, I will definitely need to explore their make up a bit more. I was really happy with the quality literally sleek and elegant, I love the whole square thing going on. 

I found the formula a bit rich and a little hard to apply without it clumping together but that may have been me doing it all in a hurry so will see if next time I use it its different.

I think for a high street brand its pretty good but it can't beat my Benifit They're real. 

I think next time I'm browsing make up I'll have a good look at sleek.

Make up storage Clear out

I've been meaning to do this for a while so.....why not blog about it?

As you can see I don't own a lot of makeup to be honest. I've had this trunk for a while and its never been full. I clearly concentrate on my eyes as I have lots of eye product, and not enough lip product!

I just emptied all the contents and sorted through it all, separating it into piles then taking anything out of date or grubby out and into the bin, a lot of the old stuff that came with the trunk I threw away. Then neatly put everything back in an orderly mess. Its important to clear out your make up every 12 months of so as this is usually how long they keep, and you don't want to be using make up that's not good anymore.

What is sleep anyway?

So its a quarter to two in the morning and I can't sleep, I've tried really hard to fall asleep. Dam you insomnia!
And I was thinking I haven't posted in a while, but I've just been working [in this ridiculous but nice heat we've been having] and I just haven't had the time or really made time to sit down and write anything. I have however got a few beauty products I wanted to review as well as a book [warning I know I'm going to be rubbish at it]  but better to give it a try then not try at all right?

So hopefully well not hopefully, I will definitely be making more time to write some posts.

Palm tree print

With summer in full swing and tropical print taking over the high street this season. Seriously it’s everywhere, skirts, dresses, trousers and co-ords. This is my first purchase(s) into the trend, I'm not really one for crazy colours so I went monochrome palm tree just to be safe. The top is from a depop seller (but I know it’s from Primark) and the shorts are from Fashion Union and they are a gorgeous silky materiel kept me nice and cool perfect for the summer. It’s not something I would usually wear but I plan to come out of my comfort zone this summer!

Lazy Sunday

Just another lazy Sunday. I had no plans, just bacon, tea and sun it really was a lazy little day. I woke up at 11, had my bacon roll and tea then when into town to run some errands, visited Matthew's grandparents, then to pub to watch the world cup final. I love those days where you have no plans to weight you down but still have things to do.
